Rating (1 is low,5 is high):

Access: Drive out of the Elan Village on the B4518, which then turns, into a single-track road running next to Caban-Coch Reservoir. When you reach the divide between Caban-Coch Reservoir and Garreg-ddu Reservoir turn left over the dam. The reservoir turns into a river and after a short distance there is a parking place opposite a turning to Rhiwnant which crosses the river. Cross the bridge and take the track to the right for a short distance. Through a gate onto a substantial track the follows the River Rhiwnant’s left bank. From that point you can clearly see a tributary meeting the river. The waterfalls are on this tributary

Comment: When we went there was little water and everything was frozen. My dog had to be kept on a lead as there were sheep. She was sound but you can’t take the chance. Still the ice was fascinating and glistened in the sun. The picture is a still from a video.

It is possible that we never saw the real waterfall as the snow covered the water making these fantastic icles.
