Access: Take the A494(T) out of Bala towards Llanuwchllyn. After crossing the Afon Lliw turn immediately right onto a narrow mountain road, which has few passing places and a bleak and wild look to it. It is lovely but do not expect the trip to take only a few minutes. Parking is difficult for the waterfall but it can be seen clearly as white water way back down the valley when there is some water about. The day we took this picture there were other people under the fall so our visit was short due to common courtesy.

Comment: I like this area of Wales as it is very scenic. The edges of the road often have no edge and precipitous drops, often with the inevitable sheep being reluctant to move themselves from the warm tarmac. In a nice evening light the mountains pick up a surreal quality that is magical, however it can be bleak wet and windswept and if you donít like being away from people donít go there out of season. I personally love the area!
