Access: Take the A496 from Maentwrog towards Tanygrisiau and Blaenau Ffestiniog. About half a mile after the B4391 turning on the right, there is a road, lay bye on the left. Park here and you will find a gate leading to a well made up track through the trees. After about a quarter of a mile a path can be seen to the left. Take this path and you will come to a stone bridge to the left is Coed Cymerau Nature Reserve. Cross the bridge and the first set of falls are just to your left, upstream. If you are feeling a bit more energetic you can walk up through ancient woodland alongside the river where there are a series of very small waterfalls.

Comment: Nice area and good paths.

We have been here lots of times. The felling of the trees on the Western side made it slightly bleak on our last visit (<2005) but looking at Google Map it appears that it has been re planted now (Nov. 2009.
